Finding a way to feed the kids is important. Finding a way to feed the kids for free is even more so, especially as the economy continues to sputter.

I visited every restaurant in Anderson Township and Mt. Washington in search of free meal deals for kids. The good news is I found more than a dozen, with choices for every night of the week. For consistency, you can’t beat IHOP, with free kids meals every single night. Izzy’s comes close, but they’re closed on Sunday and they offer 25% off everything on Mondays. Chik-Fil-A has the best deal, with up to two free kids meals on Friday with a single adult purchase. We spent $11 and had more food than the entire family could eat (and I eat a lot). Sunday seems to be Mexican night, with two local favorites offering discounts for kids.
