Doggie Country Club Open in Newtown
There is clearly no limit to the pampering of pooches. Now dog lovers around Anderson can take their best friends to Wags Park in Newtown. It has been open since May 30th and if this Saturday’s crowd is any indication, plenty of folks are willing to pay $365 for an annual membership or $15 for a day pass. There are other payment options in between. You can see those by clicking the link to visit http://www.wagspark.com.
You can lounge by the dog pond while your pet watches the action on the big screen TV. There is a long list of rules intended to keep dogs and people safe. No puppies under three months. All dogs over five months must be spayed or neutered. Every dog must undergo a one-time temperament testing for $20 (for up to four dogs) to make sure he or she plays nice with others.
If your dog makes the cut, get ready for fun and fitness. There’s a doggie obstacle course, a sprayground and the every-popular pond which is great for playing fetch with the provided balls and toys. Also, there’s plenty of open space to run, play and just be a dog.
The park is open daily 10am - 8pm. The you’ll find Wags Park at 3810 Church Street in Newtown.

Would you ever consider a special park (with a lake) for small breed dogs?
We had a bad experience at the park with another dog. Wouldn’t this be
more profitable than the dog wash?
Just a suggestion!
Or maybe set aside one day of the week for small breeds only?
